Tourism Training Courses to Be Held on Kish Island

TEHRAN - Employees of hotels and travel agencies on Kish Island who pass a training course in management of travel agencies and tourism services will receive an official certificate. The Deputy Manager of the Kish Free Trade Zone (KFTZ) Tourism Organization, Mostafa Ebrahimi, said, "Since tourism plays the central role in the development of the Kish Free Trade Zone, tourism training courses and courses on hotel and restaurant services will be offered."

According to Ebrahimi the main goal of holding these courses is elevating the general level of tourism services and educating tourism service workers. He believes that this training course will play a positive role in tourism management and said, "The current courses are elementary and advanced courses will be offered in the future."

About 100 people have registered for the 1st Tourism Services Training Course. This course teaches housekeeping, hotel reception and restaurant services.

The course will be held at the Tourism Education Center of the KFTZ Organization with the cooperation of the Iran Touring and Tourism Organization. All tourism sector workers will be required to attend the courses, which will be taught by experts.
